Texas Mortician Accused of Shocking Experiments on Human Remains

AUSTIN TX Adeline Ngan-Binh Bui owner of Capital Mortuary Services in North Austin has been arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse and multiple counts of tampering with governmental records Officials allege that Bui conducted unauthorised experiments on human remains and fraudulently obtained death certificates The examination began in March when a former employee disclosed to the Texas Funeral Facility Commission TFSC that Bui had used his credentials without consent to obtain at least ten death certificates Further claims included that Bui conducted experiments on severed body parts such as injecting formaldehyde into arms to observe decomposition effects over time These events reportedly took place between August and April Court documents reveal that Bui admitted to directing employees to perform these experiments and to using the former employee s identity to complete and submit death certificates She claimed the use of his name was due to its presence in a drop-down menu on the electronic system The TFSC issued a cease and desist order to Capital Mortuary Services on April citing failures to meet building wellbeing and safety codes The facility has since been closed Bui turned herself in to the Travis County Jail on April and was distributed on bond Her attorney Jessica Huynh stated that the matter involves complexities that should not be sensationalised and emphasised the presumption of innocence The Austin Police Department continues to investigate the incident focusing on ensuring that decedent remains are treated with dignity and by Texas law
